The first corn belt soybean field day was held in Camden, Indiana. The national Soybean Growers Association (later American Soybean Association) was founded.
1966
The Indiana Soybean Growers Association is formed to advocate for soybean farmers on important industry issues.
1967
Eighty-five members attended the first annual meeting of the Indiana Soybean Growers Association.
2001
A voluntary Indiana Corn Checkoff administered by the Indiana Corn Growers Association was established.
2002
Farmer-directors regularly visit legislators in Washington D.C.to advocate for the Farm Bill, biodiesel and other issues important to Indiana farmers.
2007
The corn checkoff was re-written to include an automatic deduction with a right to a refund. The Indiana Corn Marketing Council was established to manage this new checkoff law.
2019
Year-round sales of E15 is approved by the EPA.
2020
The American Soybean Association celebration its 100th anniversary back where it started in Camden, Indiana.
